Privacy Policy

1. Our approach

FrediPerks is a local savings membership platform serving Fredericton, New Brunswick. We aim to collect only the information reasonably needed to provide early access, operate member and business accounts, administer local perks and redemptions, and communicate with users and prospective business partners.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use FrediPerks, we may collect your name, email address, postal code, membership and account information, business name and category, perk information, saved perks, redemption records, and communications with us. Our service providers may also process technical information, such as IP address and device or authentication information, for service operation, security and fraud prevention.

3. Why we collect it

We use early-access information to manage invitations and membership availability. We use member and redemption information to operate the service, verify eligibility, process perks, prevent misuse and provide members their savings activity. We use business information to onboard partners, administer offers and support merchant accounts.

4. Commercial emails

Where express consent is requested for promotional or commercial email, it is optional and can be withdrawn at any time. Commercial emails sent by FrediPerks will identify the sender and include a way to unsubscribe.

5. Service providers

Our website and portals are hosted on Netlify. We use Netlify Forms for website submissions, Supabase for application authentication and database services, and Postmark for operational email delivery. If paid memberships are activated, we will identify the payment provider and update this notice before collecting payment information.

6. Sharing and sale of information

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers that help operate the website or forms, or where disclosure is required by law.

7. Retention

We intend to keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described above. We will periodically review and delete old test, duplicate, or no-longer-needed form submissions. You may also ask us to delete information associated with you.

8. Security

We use HTTPS on the FrediPerks website and limit access to the systems used to administer form submissions and email. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so we avoid asking for sensitive personal, financial, medical, government-identification, or password information through these forms.

9. Access, correction and deletion

You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, withdraw consent where applicable, or ask us to delete information that is no longer required, subject to any legal obligations that may apply.

10. Analytics and cookies

FrediPerks uses Netlify Web Analytics to understand basic website usage, such as pageviews, unique visitors, popular pages, and traffic sources. This analytics service is generated from web-server request data and is not used by FrediPerks for behavioural advertising or cross-site tracking. FrediPerks has not added third-party advertising trackers to the website. If we later add cookie-based analytics, advertising, or other tracking technologies, we will update this policy and implement any additional consent mechanisms that may be required.
